Wo allerorten zu fett, zu süss gespeist wird, triumphieren die Digestive – Brote für den Geist! At Christmas time, artfoyer Cavigelli organized an exhibition that suggested a mixture of a shop and an art gallery atmosphere. The purpose was to attract the public to buy art, by being uninhibited by the appearance of a too serious art gallery space. The exhibition used the window display possibilities, by arranging objects, drawings and artists’ books in the window, in a way similar to the one used by any shop in the city.The sales money was used to finance the next project. Aktion DIGESTIF 2010 The Digestiv 2010 action, consisting of selling self-baked breads containing messages from the media was scheduled in the opening evening. The action was a critical reaction to the successful political campaign of a nationalistic party in Switzerland, the SVP. "Digestif" was then repeated throughout the month of December, at different locations (openings, community fests, public places in Zurich ), as a way to investigate how the public's reactions are influenced by the context. Mo Diener, the artist who initiated the action series, describes it thus: "Die Aktion DIGESTIF 2010 offeriert dem Publikum während der aktuellen Endjahresaktivitäten der Kunstwelt, der Medien und im Alltag eine einfache Medizin. Mit dem Verzehr eines mit aller Kraft gekneteten Brotgebäcks, das einen raschelnden Kern birgt, soll Geist und Körper in inspirierte Bewegung geraten."
