From 27 October to 16 November 2012 Artfoyer Cavigelli (Albisstrasse 27) and GZ Wollishofen
(Albisstrasse 25) are hosting a group exhibition about the city of Zurich. Seven
artists created new photographs, installations, videos and an iPhone application about
their city and its surroundings. Wollishofen is brought into focus by the art works exhibited
at GZ Wollishofen, among which two installations about the Stünzihäuser and the
Cinema Morgental.

In a public podium discussion at Gemeinschaftszentrum am See (Bachstrasse 7) on the 28 October 2012, from 11am, Roberta Weiss-Mariani (head of GZ Wollishofen) will discuss with Anca Sinpalean (artist and curator of the exhibition) and the participant artists about issues like the problem of
the growing number of demolitions in Wollishofen as demonstrated by the Stünzihäuser (two
centenary buildings planned for demolition in 2013 in spite of their historical value) or the disappearance of Cinema Morgental - once the social and cultural center of Wollishofen.

Participant artists: Bettina Eberhard, René Fahrni, Yvonne Good, Stefan Meier, Cora Piantoni,
Anca Sinpalean, Myriam Thyes. Curated by Anca Sinpalean.

Opening reception: 26 October 2012 from 7 pm with performance by Yvonne Good and Anca Sinpalean at GZ Wollishofen, Albisstrasse 25.

The project is supported by Migros Kulturprozent.
